Easy Money

I’d say for about the last 20 years, I’ve been using point earning sites that allow you to cash out gift cards.  Back in the day, you could just redeem for an item or they’d send you a check.  These days, I can choose a gift card.  I can’t lie; I don’t earn a lot from them and they do fill my email inbox up with junk most days, but overall, it’s nice to finally hit that mark when I can redeem a gift card.

Here are my favorites (and I’ve used:

  • Swagbucks who was once a separate entity, but now affiliated with MyPoints.  Swagbucks has both a phone app and ways to earn on your computer.  They offer codes through Facebook (and I’m sure other social media), games, videos, surveys, polls, etc to earn.  I usually just do surveys.  I’ve been with Swagbucks probably about 15
  • MyPoints is pretty much exactly like Swagbucks and I’ve been with Mypoints longer.  I usually earn points by clicking on certain email ads and periodically take surveys and the poll.
  • InboxDollars is probably my favorite.  I enjoy their surveys, games, poll, and email ads.  I have redeemed the most through them, but that’s because I participate more with them.  I’ve been with them for about 20 years. If you’re on a cell phone, there’s S’More.  I believe the link will not work from your computer, but it works from the phone.  You basically earn 10 points a day as long as you have a cell phone.  It sticks ads in your lockscreen.  The downside to it is it can eat your battery but they are probably the fastest way I’ve earned points by doing nothing at all.  I don’t take surveys, though they offer them.  I just use my phone every day, and once my thumb touches my lockscreen to open it every day, I gain points.

Anyway, what works for me may not work for you.  It’s trial and error and a lot has to do with how much time you have on your hands.  I really urge anyone to use the S’More app though.  You get paid for literally doing nothing.  Have fun.
